I work with children by engaging them in various forms of play therapy (art therapy, narrative therapy and sand play games). This provides children with a safe, non-threatening environment in which to explore difficult feelings and experiment with new skills and alternative ways to navigate complicated emotional situations. By helping children express their feelings of fear, shame, embarrassment, or grief, I work to restore their natural tendency for psychological health and emotional wellbeing.
In addition to working with children, I also provide support to help parents hone their attachment and limit setting styles to better meet the needs of their child and improve the overall functioning of the family unit.
